February, otherwise known as ‘Chocolate Month’, is a perfect time to pamper yourself. A mid winter pick me up. What better way than a spa day in your very own home using things already in your pantry.
For the Chocolate Scrub all you need is 4 ingredients.
Mix together and its ready to go. Scrub over any rough skin and then rinse off under warm water. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
For the Dark Chocolate facial all you need is 2 ingredients.
1 tsp of Coconut Oil
2 TBS Dark Cocoa Powder
Now paint it on. Keep it on your face for 10-15 min and wipe off with a damp cloth. This recipe is good for one or two facials. Please note that this will smell DELICIOUS! To curb your craving for sweets while letting this do its magic… try a few dates. They did the trick for me and they are packed with goodness. No guilt.
BTW this is a great treat for your mum. Who doesn’t love to be pampered!
Olive oil has many benefits. It is an anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, packed with antioxidants, and is amazing at moisturizing your skin. You can substitute any oil that works best for you, but I love olive oil.
Dark Cocoa Powder is full of antioxidants which help with skin repair. It helps firm skin and lessen fine lines and wrinkles. It helps protect the skin from UV and it helps gently exfoliate the delicate skin on your face.
Coconut Oil is fantastic. Besides smelling amazing it is an antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal. It also goes deep into your skin to leave it soft and moisturized. It doesn’t leave your skin greasy and it reduces your risk of breakouts.
****Always test on a small section of your skin before you try elsewhere. Be sure you don’t have an aversion to these ingredients.****
